About Tad
Tad Hoening started working in the trades during the summers while in high school and college, first doing HVAC installation, then carpentry. Upon getting a degree in biology, he moved to Madison to study genetics at UW.
With an opportunity to go to Antarctica, doing maintenance at McMurdo Station, Tad spent nearly a quarter century being a “Station Handyman” for the US Antarctic Program.
Tad is now raising a family in Madison and is excited to use his decades of acquired skills and knowledge a little closer to home.
